This week, my literacy class is reading this book. It Used to be Green Once. It’s about a really interesting childhood and a car that has no brakes.
Maths
In today’s maths, I am learning about multiples and factors. Multiples are like skip counting, while factors are kinda like the opposite. (e.g. Factors of 20: 1,4,5,20).

This is to know what these people are. These two people are very important as they were involved in the Treaty of Waitangi.

Today I learned about math terms and what they mean. I learned something new like sqaure roots and factorial functions. We also learned about exponents in BEDMAS.
History of Protests in New Zealand
This term, the year 7 to 8 extension class are exploring the history of protests in NZ! These slides on this post are a brief timeline of the protests that happened in Aotearoa New Zealand. From the NZ Wars in the 1810’s to the Anti Mandate Protest in 2022.

My Extension project (Term 4)
This is my design I made from Tinkercad. What you should see is a bridge and two tunnels. Why? Because the Waka Kotahi (NZ Transport Agency) has a chance to use these designs.
The reason why I did this is because Auckland NEEDS A NEW BRIDGE. Traffic has been a big problem on roads. Alternative ideas include the tunnel I did, on the right of the road tunnels will also be a railway. and railways mean new stations in the North Shore. It’s not finished but I will today or this week. The bridge design will be a second bridge left of the current harbour bridge.
